Training Workshops
The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program (EFSP) offers training opportunities for
both Local Boards and Local Recipient Organizations (LROs). The training assists Local Boards
and LROs in the administration of the EFSP. Topics covered include the responsibilities of the
Local Board, State Set-Aside Committees, LROs, and the National Board. There is also a large
focus on cost eligibility and documentation of expenditures.
Recorded Training Webinars
On Wednesday, March 21, 2007 and Thursday, March 22, 2007, the EFSP hosted two unique training
opportunities for Local Boards and Local Recipient Organizations (LROs). While the training
content was similar to the workshops EFSP has done through the years, travel was not necessary
because you could participate from your desk – all you needed was a computer with an internet
connection and speakers as the training was online.
Both the Local Board and LRO training while orginally done in 2007 are still available and still
provide information for Local Boards and LROs that is relevant to the administration of the EFSP.
Each webinar includes a question and answer session. It is highly recommended that all Local Board
members and LRO staff view these webinars. Please take the opportunity to view these at your
convenience.
